About us

Who is behind it

tuttocane.com is a project by Giorgio Seregni. From 2010, for fifteen years, he built and ran lacasadriposo.it, the Italian portal for finding care homes for the elderly. tuttocane.com brings the same idea to the world of dogs: a directory organised by area, useful to whoever is searching, and a direct way to contact the places listed.

What you will find

Places for dogs, town by town. Online today:

• Vets: 856
• Dog-friendly travel: 369

Where the data comes from

From public sources, and every listing names its own:

• vets: the national register of veterinary facilities kept by FNOVI, the Italian Federation of Veterinary Associations;
• dog-friendly travel: the Lombardy Region’s register of accommodation, only the places that state they accept pets;
• position on the map: the national street-number register (ANNCSU) of the Italian Revenue Agency and ISTAT, only from an exact street number;
• towns: the ISTAT codes;
• some places: OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence).

Our rules

• We publish a place only if it has a position and a contact.
• No ratings or reviews: we have none we can verify, and we do not make them up.
• Listings are not paid ads: today no place pays to be listed.
• We do not publish businesses run by private individuals, such as people working from home, without their consent.
